Dr. George P. Varkey is the founder and CEO of United Smiles Family Dentistry and Orthodontics. He has been practicing dentistry since 1996. He earned his dental degree from the University of Mysore and completed his internship at the Government Dental College in Bangalore. He went on to practice in Bangalore and Kerala for several years before moving to the United States.

 

Dr. Varkey further advanced his clinical expertise by completing a General Practice Residency at BMC, University of Massachusetts, followed by a Pediatric Mini-Residency at the University of Minnesota. Today, he serves patients across multiple locations in Richmond, Virginia.

 

In addition to his dental career, Dr. Varkey is an accomplished marathon runner, having completed renowned international races including the Berlin Marathon, Chicago Marathon, Biblical Marathon in Israel, and most recently, the Great Wall Marathon in China.

 

When he's not practicing dentistry or running marathons, Dr. Varkey enjoys fishing, kayaking, motorcycle riding, and traveling with his family. He is also a published author, writing across topics in dentistry and beyond, with several new projects in progress.

 

Dr. Varkey is a proud father to his daughters—Anya, Emma, and Reya—and husband to his beloved wife, Elizabeth.
